About Christina

Christina McPike, LMSW is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Michigan (#6801108721) with an impeccable record who provides psychological evaluations for immigration cases. She has over ten years of experience both locally and internationally in the fields of trauma recovery, assessments & diagnostics, mental health, and education.

Christina specializes in creating safe spaces for immigrant clients to tell their story. Using the most up-to-date research and clinical tools, Christina uses her experience and cultural humility to facilitate professional, competent, and trauma-informed interviews.

Christina has extensive experience in administering diagnostic tools and mental health assessments, as well as documenting her clients' symptoms and producing comprehensive reports. She worked as the Lead Trauma Assessment Specialist on a Trauma Assessment Team for over five years, during which she assessed the impact of traumatic experiences on children and adolescents. She provides psychotherapy to families from all walks of life.

 

Christina has also been in touch with the immigrant community for long periods of her life: She has lived in Berlin, Germany, and worked at a non-profit organization focused on education for female immigrants. She has lived in Vienna, Austria, and taught English to culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms. In Michigan, she has been connected to various organizations that serve immigrants and refugees, and continues to offer psychotherapy to immigrant families and their children.
